Disney Star Debby Ryan Encourages ‘Safe Love’ After Being Physically Abused
Disney star Debby Ryan said in an interview with Teen Vogue, that she was physically abused by her own close male friend.
She was grabbed by the wrist and was pulled into a room where she was fiercely physically abused. Debby is certainly a strong girl who after experiencing such a nasty incident still encourages young girls who were sexually abused to have safe love. She has planned to help out such destitute girls to come out of their nasty experience and lead a normal life like other girls.
She confessed that she just could not understand what was happening to her and could not get out of the room quickly. She said that she was helped by people who got this guy out of her life and out of her house. She said that she met this guy at a meet and said that he wanted to talk to her, but Debby refused to talk to him. He became furious and threw a phone at her, which crushed to pieces.
He was so furious that he was screaming, punching the wall and abusing her. After the hysteria was over he was in tears and said he was sorry and that he loves her. Then he just pulled her by her wrist inside a bathroom and locked the door and molested her. She said that this person shared a professional relationship with her, but she was not dating him. It was an emotional treatment where it became physical.
She has created a campaign called, Don’t Look Away Campaign, to educate teenager and to raise awareness about dating violence in young adults. She educates them through this program that what is normal, healthy and okay in physical relationship. She teaches them what is mental abuse, physical abuse, or digital abuse.
She tells the young girls not to give their phone or their computer passwords to any person. She tells them not to talk to any strangers and not to attend anonymous calls; they should avoid giving details about themselves to any person. Just a bit of precaution and they would be safe. She teaches them that real love makes one feel healthy, better and stronger.
