He threw for two touchdowns and no picks, and only got sacked one time. Most of that was a 62 yard reception, but big plays count. He completed 4 of 7 for 54 yards with a 28-yard pass to wide receiver Malachi Dupre on the drive. After a three-and-out for Carolina, LSU went for another big play to make it 31-10. The game is scheduled to be played at 4 p.m.in Williams-Brice Stadium, but athletics director Ray Tanner said Saturday that a final determination on the game has not been made.
LSU treated South Carolina like the home team after severe flooding forced the game to be moved to Tiger Stadium. Fournette rushed for 158 yards on 20 carries, picking up a touchdown – an 87-yard run right up the middle to open the third quarter. It’s not often Guice gets to top Fournette in the box score, so this is a special moment for the freshman. Included in his effort were several acrobatic highlight reel type plays.
“We tried the same thing in the second half”, Spurrier said of the Gamecocks’ approach to defending Fournette. Then, on a single handoff, he was back to averaging more than eight per run, all on a tried and true playcall.
Probably the only real negative in the game was a fumble by freshman Nick Brossette.
Being a New Orleans native, Leonard Fournette is all too familiar with tragedy hitting close to home.
Fournette clearly takes his duties as a leader on this team seriously. “We’ll have to see”. In a post game interview, Fournette announced his plan for auctioning the jersey.

“You’re trying to play your best players now”.
The Tigers are coming off a performance where they had 624 total yards of offense against South Carolina. “Everybody’s stepping up, and that’s what we need”. They have a week off to regroup before taking on Auburn on 10/24. The Tigers had 387 in the second half.
Shuffling linemen after mental errors and inconsistent play have dogged the line all year. “Kevin is a guy I’ve got a lot of respect for in this”.
Senior defensive back Jalen Mills’ status remains uncertain as well, though he dressed out and participated in pregame warmups before the South Carolina game for the first time this season.
LSU hasn’t gained 500 yards against a Power 5 team since 11/23/13 when they had 517 yards against A&M. But even if the Gators hold their own in that battle, will it be enough to win without Grier throwing passes?
The punting wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t good. Dural finished the game with four catches for 109 yards. Since joining the SEC in 2012, the Tigers have failed to get a takeaway in just five games, going 1-4.
Punt returns were nonexistent, with Tre White returning only one punt for -1 yards. Using those common opponents as points of comparison, EPA shows how much better the Gators’ offense has been in 2015.
The most disturbing aspect of the kick coverage unit happened before the snap.
They call the Tigers “DBU” for a reason. “Our football team didn’t have it bad”.
Lock, starting his second game for the Tigers in place of suspended starter Maty Mauk, completed 16 of 39 passes for 151 yards and two interceptions.
