Divers Search Lake For Evidence In San Bernardino Shooting

Dive team members are searching a small Southern California lake Thursday at a park near the site of last week’s mass shooting in San Bernardino. “It certainly is possible that after this investigation has made more progress… that we may ask Congress for some additional assistance in reforming the program that allowed the female terrorist into the United States”.

FBI Director James Comey has said Syed Rizwan Farook and his wife, Tashfeen Malik, voiced extremist views online as early as 2013.

Bowdich said he would not discuss the “specific evidence we’re looking for” but said it was essentially “anything that had to do with this particular crime”. But Farook was not among those investigated at the time, the officials said.

Meanwhile, CBS News reports that the Feds might hit Farook’s former neighbor Enrique Marquez with some federal charges because of his connection to the attack.

Farook, a coworker of those at the holiday party, and his wife stormed the IRC gathering December 2 with semi-automatic rifles, fatally shooting 14 and injuring at least 20 others. The couple died hours later in a police shootout.

Marquez and Farook “were plotting an actual attack” that year, including buying weapons, but became apprehensive and shelved the plan because of law enforcement activity and arrests in the area, said Idaho Sen.

The two men were listed as witnesses on the marriage license when Farook’s brother, Raheel, Wednesday a Russian woman in 2011. According to the Los Angeles Times, Marquez wrote, “I’m”.
