DMX: Not Breathing, No Pulse
Police stepped in and saved his life.
The initial story was that X had suffered an asthma attack.
When cops arrived around 6 p.m., they quickly determined him lifeless as he was not breathing and he did not have a pulse. Police found him on the ground next to a parked vehicle. He was given Narcan, which is an antidote to narcotic overdose.
Mark Davis DMX was rushed to the hospital after cops found him without a pulse. Police began CPR and eventually his pulse came back after a minute. He was then taken to the hospital by ambulance.
He said no drugs were found and no criminal charges have been filed against anyone at the scene.
DMX first became a success in the late Nineties when he released Get At Me Dog on Def Jam Recordings.
Once on top of the hip-hop world, DMX has been unable to shake his demons. It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, where it remained for three consecutive weeks.
DMX denies taking any drugs.
He was sentenced to six months in prison past year following a weird incident in which he robbed a customer at a gas station.
