DNR issues air quality notice for parts of Wisconsin | GazetteXtra
A smoke advisory has been issued for all of northeastern Colorado and parts of the Denver area through Tuesday morning because of large wildfires burning in Canada. However, the recent passage of a cold front will allow the smoke to drop closer to the ground, decreasing air quality to unhealthy levels for sensitive groups.
DNR air quality testing indicates air at an unhealthy level at monitoring sites across northern and west-central Wisconsin, according to the weather service. For current information on air quality readings, call 1-866-324-5924.
After an overnight low around 52, Wednesday should be mostly sunny, with a high near 71 and east winds around 5 miles per hour.
The smoke will be most noticeable across the northwest section of the state tonight, according to the National Weather Service.
The forecast is for the smoke to move southeastward across the state Tuesday morning.
The smoke will continue throughout the night, and it may get worse before it gets better.
