Do whatever you can: Man on bike after abusing Delhi girl

Just last week, an American woman tweeted a photograph of a man, who she alleged masturbated at her on broad daylight in Mumbai’s Colaba area. “Complaint karke dikha, fir dekhiyo kya karta hun main (Do whatever you want, complain against me and then wait and watch what I will do)”.

Kaur also took to Facebook and posted the man’s photo along with the incident. The incident took place around 8 pm on Sunday in West Delhi’s Tilak Nagar. In one of the most recent episodes, a pervert who was passing obscene comments to a woman in a busy Delhi road had no shame to harass her publicly. Riding a silver Royal Enfield, the accused allegedly passed obscene comments at her. When I told him I am clicking his picture and I’m going to file a complaint against him, he responded by posing for a picture and said, “Jo kar sakti hai kar le”.

The girl said that his obscene comments were heard by at least 20 other commuters standing nearby at the traffic signal, but no one stood up for her. Yes, no one minded.

The police have registered a complaint of sexual harassment and will give her a Rs 5,000 reward for being courageous . “Today he had the audacity to say these things to me, tomorrow he will have the audacity to move one step ahead and do it”, Kaur said in her post. After which Kaur registered a complaint against the offender at Tilak Nagar police station.

She urged Facebook users to share the picture to help pin him down. Delhi Commission for Women chairperson Swati Maliwal also supported her and is set to meet her on Monday.
