Amazon starts Black Friday sale eight days earlier and will start releasing new deals every five minutes starting November 20.

That may be explained partly by the trend of more retailers launching promotions on Thanksgiving Day in recent years and increasingly matching the promotions available in stores with the deals consumers can find online.

“Deals are being spread out and they’re earlier this year, but we’re definitely seeing that Thanksgiving and especially Black Friday deals will be incredible and the best of the year”, Glaser said.

It also wouldn’t be a good black Friday deal without some Android devices being discounted as well. But a new survey from NJ.com suggests that there are still a lot of traditionalists out there who would rather see retail stores closed on Thanksgiving Day. “We’re giving people a longer window during a calmer time of the week”, said Michael Tatelman, chief marketing officer of the electronics chain.

Some companies, like Walmart and Target, are offering their in-store deals online at the same time. The retailer will be offering $100 off on Black Friday.

Hundreds of British businesses, selling on Amazon Marketplaces, are also participating in Black Friday Deals Week for the first time this year, which means that there will be more items to chose from. It’s more of a guessing game when it comes to pinning down the launch of online Black Friday sales.

She said the mall’s initial plan was not to be open on Thanksgiving Day, but because of a couple strong tenants -outside of the anchor stores – desiring to be open on the holiday, the mall is needed to accommodate them.

According to a CNN Money report, Amazon will begin a few great deals starting today as their “Countdown to Black Friday Week” officially gets underway.

Walmart will be open regular business hours except for Thanksgiving Day and have extended hours on Black Friday.
