Doctor caught on camera punching patient to death

Dramatic CCTV has emerged showing the moment a doctor punches a patient in the head – who then collapses and later dies.

The surveillance video shows the the patient falling to the ground and the doctor trying to revive him with chest compression.

When the patient returns, the doctor deals him a single blow to the face and a crash can be heard as the middle-aged man falls backwards onto the floor.

Entering the room with anger and asking the patient why he is touching the nurse, doctor wanted the patient to put in another room later.

The patient, identified as Belgorod resident Yevgeniy Bakhtin, 56, had allegedly been aggressive towards a nurse during a stomach examination on 29 December, according to Russian website Life News.

The doctor has been named as Ilya Zelendinov, according to the privately owned channel Ren TV.

Health Minister Veronika Skortsova ordered a probe into the incident afer the hospital CCTV spread virally online, state television reports.

Past year two Russians resorted to taking guns to hospitals and shooting dead doctors for perceived mistakes in their treatment.
