Dolphins took extra staff to safeguard equipment vs. Patriots
Having failed in New Jersey, the New England Patriots head to Miami this weekend again looking to wrap up the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
The precautions that the Dolphins took were a preventative measure so that the Patriots couldn’t cheat in any way. None of them were spotted at the Patriots practice facility on Wednesday, casting doubts about their availability for the upcoming game against Miami. When the Dolphins traveled to New England in October, they went the extra mile to make sure the Patriots couldn’t create an unfair advantage.
Per the report the Dolphins brought more equipment staffers to the game than was the norm to guard against any potential nefarious acts by their hosts, but Miami coach Dan Campbell said he knew of no such plan that week.
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady would like nothing better than to end the Dolphins’ brief home winning streak against his club and improve upon his performance against the Jets, in which he threw for just 231 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
“I’m just anxious about what we’re doing, trying to coach our team”. Safe to say that this paranoia probably helps only one team… How are we going to beat this team?
“I think it’s better to win this game than to lose this game”, Brady said.
Asked about the prospect of playing all AFC postseason games at Gillette Stadium, Slater smiled and said: “I think we’d enjoy that”. “He’s versatile. He can play multiple roles in multiple spots, which he has done in each game he has played in”. “It’s a good team we have to play and let’s see what we can do”.
