Don’t trust a Time Lord, warns Doctor Who’s Peter Capaldi
Doctor Who Mission Dalek is part of the Make it Digital season, a UK-wide initiative, which hopes to inspire a new generation to try their hand at coding, programming and digital technology.
“I’m the Doctor. And I save people”, he declares.
We know many Doctor Who fans make awesome videos or are fantastic at cosplay and love to get involved in a million marvellous ways.
“This year in particular they have kept me in the dark”, Capaldi informed Den of Geek prior to shooting for the season finale (work has since begun on Moffat’s two-part closer).
“I’m so excited to be working on Doctor Who as it’s such a big and important part of British Culture”, Williams said during her first day on the set.
His comments come amid the ongoing speculation that this could also be the last series for his current assistant Clara Oswald, played by Jenna Coleman.
“I feel very privileged”, said the Scottish actor.
Seemingly confirming that his role is not for the long term, he has still beaten the record of Christopher Eccleston, who starred in just one series.

He went on, “We’re not throwing her away”. The broadcaster says “there’s no need to know about the upcoming episodes, except they involve the Time Lord taking on the mighty Daleks”. “But I think it’s mostly because I like to say “Mondasian Cybermen”…”
“I mean, they’re not all two-parters – some of them are three-parters, some of them are one-parters – but I think it’s a good development”.
He added: “I still watch shows on my day off but my wife won’t let me watch them”.
“It’s great because I phone the office, ask for an episode, there’s a knock at the trailer and it’s presented”.
Doctor Who series 9 returns to BBC One on September 19.
