Donald Trump: Black Lives Matter calls for killing police
Now, they know that every one of them has a target on their backs, yet they still go out and try to protect us.
There is outrage, and there are Moments of Silence in schools, prayer vigils in churches, and speeches on the floor of Congress and in many State Houses across the country, when police officers are killed in the line of duty, regardless of race. “And from a standpoint of honor, I think he should show up”.
The more Americans who share this frustration, the more Americans who say, as Williams has, that this needs to stop and who begin to tear down barriers that separate us, the stronger the entire country will become.
“We call for calm and remind residents in our city that these incidents heighten the importance of continuing efforts to work together to ensure safety for all”, the statement read.
“We don’t want to be brutalized and shot and handled”.
“Certainly, in certain instances they are”, Trump told Fox News host Bill O’Reilly when he asked whether the group has been “a fuse-lighter in the assassinations of these police officers”. We also know that [by] focusing on black people that other people will also benefit when we get to equity and when we get to justice. Syracuse Common Councilor Khalid Bey said he gives credit to the protesters, mayor and police for keeping the peace.
Change Nicholas Prejean said change can’t happen until we unify as a nation. “Guide them safely, let them protest safely and let them exit safely”. “Sometimes when were holding this Black Lives Matter marches…” I don’t understand why black men die in custody and they’re forgotten the next day.
“So many of these things have to do with independent oversight, accountability and demilitarization”, Comeau said. The Washington Post’s Griff Witte wrote in June 2015 that police shot and killed two people over the previous three years. I’m terrified and I don’t want to be scarred anymore and I don’t think anyone else does either. Members of Black Lives Matter want to live in a world where it is safe to be black in public, but they believe that it should be safe to be a police officer, too. The police have a tough job to do and while they do need guidelines and oversight, so do citizens who are interacting with police.
The protesters, among whom were high-profile sport stars, marched down Swanston Street before staging a sit-in at Flinders Street Station.
“When we were marching down Oxford St., a lot of the bus drivers were beeping and putting their fists up in support of the people”.
