Donald Trump brushes off use of his words in extremist recruitment video
Hillary Clinton’s predictions are coming true.
Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump speaks at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum on January 2, 2016 in Biloxi, Mississippi. However, there was no evidence to support her claim at the time.
His urging of a “total and complete shutdown” of Muslims visiting America became a battle point between him and Democratic favorite Hillary Clinton, who called Trump “ISIS’s best recruiter”, and claimed terrorists “are going to people, showing them videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit radical jihadists”.
Trump pointed out that Clinton’s own husband, former President Bill Clinton, did appear in a previous ISIS propaganda video where he is labeled a “degenerate if you look at what they talk about, all of his scandals”, Trump said.
On Sunday’s (Jan. 3) episode of Face the Nation, Trump sat down with host John Dickerson and, when the topic of the video was brought up, the Republican candidate didn’t seem too affected. “What am I going to do?” he asked. “When I watch President Obama say, “Global warming is our biggest problem”, it’s just so sad to watch”, Trump said.
“The video was released on Twitter Friday, according to the SITE Intel monitoring group and tells the story of several Americans from Minnesota that joined al-Shabab and were killed in the fighting in Somalia, holding them up as examples to be followed”.
Donald Trump is downplaying his appearance in a jihadist recruitment video. When asked if he was concerned in that the terrorist recruitment video used his image, the billionaire businessman asserted he was not. He also decided to make some remarks about Hillary’s husband, Bill Clinton.
“Of course at some point they’re going to do something”.
Mr Trump did not mention the video at the rally in MS, focusing instead on his high poll numbers and the travails of his Republican opponents, who he portrays as a hapless, “low-energy” bunch that he will defeat easily. “On Sun., Trump stated he wouldn’t tone down his call for barring Muslims”.
Trump’s comments were contrary to United States values and its national security interests, a statement from the White House said. “Everybody knows she should be in jail”.
Both Mr Trump and Mrs Clinton have consolidated their leads entering the year of the U.S. election.
