Donald Trump ‘can relate’ to ‘rigged’ system against African-Americans
“I think the term is very divisive”, he said.
Donald Trump says he believes relations between police and the nation’s African-American community are “far worse” than people think, predicting that protests against police violence that followed last week’s slaying of five police officers in Dallas “might be just the beginning for this summer”.
Asked by the AP what he would say to African-Americans who feel targeted by police due to their skin color, Trump replied, “We have to talk to ’em and we have to build up the spirit …”
Trump went on to express his support for police officers across the country.
“Jobs can solve so many problems”, Trump said. Speaking at a rally in Virginia on Monday, Trump called for an immediate end to “hostility against our police”, before referring to the “tragic deaths” of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, which the presumptive GOP nominee called “horrible to witness”.
“Maybe it’s lack of training”.
“Well, I have been saying even against me, the system is rigged-we have to fight”, Trump said when asked by Bill O’Reilly on Tuesday about what he would do to heal the country amid heightened racial tensions. The truth is, Black people are used to finding out their white friend is secretly racist, but Trump went from walling out and rounding up Mexicans to registering Muslims to okaying the beating of a Black Lives Matter protester.
“The country has no spirit”. This statement especially rang true with African Americans, but the poll data shows that the belief resonated widely no matter what race or political leaning.
Trump hasn’t attacked blacks like he has other minorities. There are certain people where unfortunately that comes into play, and I’m not saying that.
Trump is already struggling with the perception that he is racist.
Trump added that Black Lives Matter was also dividing the country, and claimed that moments of silence were being held for Dallas shooter Micah Johnson without saying where or when they occurred. We used to love Donald Trump, because, like many people we f*** with, The Donald likes gaudy gold shit, owns a lot of flashy cars while living in an apartment, and he loves to brag about how he’s getting money and bad bitches.
