Donald Trump claims Fox moderator Megyn Kelly ‘bombed’ in Republican debate

The top-ten GOP candidates were selected to participate in the debate based on their rank in an average of the five most recent national political polls.

Former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina won the first of the two GOP debates of the day, with her six other lowest polling rivals not offering much competition. Marco Rubio, (R) of Florida, answering a question about why he would be a better candidate than Governor Bush, despite never holding an executive office position. Ted Cruz, (R) of Texas, responded by saying that he received the word of God “daily” through the Bible, and then proceeded to tell the story of his family’s faith. He would not, as he blandly stated, give up the leverage that threat gave him.

That message is the anchor of Christie’s pitch as he tries to stand out in the crowded field. He has emerged as a frontrunner for the Republican Party’s presidential candidate even though his comments have linked it to controversial views about Mexican immigrants.
