Donald Trump Climbs to 35 Percent Support in New National Poll
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush was fourth with 8 percent, and Ohio Gov. John Kasich was fifth with 7 percent.
The CNN/WMUR poll was conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center by telephone from November 30-December 7.
Presented at a Capitol Hill news conference today with the results of the CBS/NYT poll, Ryan said, ‘I’m not gonna comment on that.
The survey found that 24 percent of likely GOP voters said they would “never support” Trump for the GOP nomination.

Voters nationwide do not seem enthusiastic about about a Trump or Clinton presidency, but there is somewhat more anxiety about Trump in the White House (64%) than Clinton (57%).
Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz said Monday he does not support banning all Muslims from entering the country, distancing himself from an inflammatory proposal by rival Donald Trump.
Cruz and Trump are in a close battle with evangelicals.
Since Donald Trump is already leading the majority of polls, it will be very interesting to see who will be second in the race after 2015’s last GOP Debate.
It’s too early to predict who will win the Iowa GOP caucuses, but Sen. Cruz is up 9 points on this question. “As Ben Carson’s stock has fallen, Cruz has been able to corral most of those voters”, said Patrick Murray, director of the independent Monmouth University Polling Institute in West Long Branch, N.J.
The CNN interview is not the first instance of Carson walking back his policy ideas as he discussed how he would wield government power in the name of national security. Rubio had 17% support in that poll, while Carson dropped to 13%.
In September, Trump held a 10-point lead over former Hewlett-Packard chief executive Carly Fiorina, 26 percent to 16 percent.
On the Democratic side, front-runner Hillary Clinton leads Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, 54% to 36%. Former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley trails far behind at 3 percent.
As it now stands, Trump has achieved a huge lead over other hopefuls to stand as the Republican party’s standard bearer.
“Cruz, at least right now, is limited much more to the right in the party – especially the religious right in the party”, he concludes.
Terrorism and ISIS topped the list of issues GOP voters said were most important, with 34 percent selecting it as their top campaign issue. Cruz led among those Iowans. Trump believes people are drawn to his confidence and that bad news in the world is good for him.
Rubio and Christie tied for second with 6 percent each when voters were asked which candidate they thought was most likely to win the primary.
