Donald Trump: Clinton’s Islamic State claim is ‘false’
Hillary Clinton lies like insane – In a scathing attack on Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, Republican front-runner Donald Trump on Sunday said that Hillary lies like insane.
Just three candidates took the stage for Saturday night’s third Democratic presidential debate, in what many saw as a critical moment for the contenders before their first state contests in Iowa and New Hampshire begin. She called Trump a threat to the nation’s safety, saying he was fast “becoming IS’s best recruiter”.
“I think it’s great standing up here with the senator and the governor talking about these issues because you’re not going to hear anything like this from any of the Republicans who are running for president”, Clinton said.
Still, Sanders said his staff had acted improperly. “We don’t know that, but we need an independent investigation and I hope Secretary Clinton will agree with me for the need of that”, said Senator Sanders.
“We should move on because I don’t think the American people are all that interested in this”, she said after accepting her rival’s apology. His campaign later said it had suspended two more aides. The DNC has also been accused of trying to help Clinton by limiting the number of debates and scheduling them on low-viewership periods like Saturday nights. It came as Clinton had solidified her standing atop the field, shaking off a rocky start and the controversy about her use of private email at the State Department.
Former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley was primed to jump in.
The former president has also looked to cast himself as a minimal player in the campaign, telling multiple interviewers that he is a “bit player” in the whole operation. Both the Clinton and the sanders teams claiming victory.
“We have to make sure the really discriminatory messages Donald Trump is sending around the world do not fall on receptive ears”, Clinton continued. But they had heated exchanges on the economy, guns, tackling terrorists and the United States overseas. “I have laid out a five-point plan about what we can do together”, Clinton said.
Mr Saunders, however, argued that the USA should first concentrate on defeating the Islamic State (ISIS).
“I very much appreciate that comment, Bernie”, she said.
