Donald Trump Demands $5 Million From CNN For Next Debate
It may cost CNN $5 million to bring Donald Trump on stage at the December 15 Republican debate.
“Well I think what he’s doing is exaggerating”, Rudy said, with a hint of a chuckle. And Durham, N.C., Bishop George G. Bloomer appeared to have endorsed Trump at an October rally, though he denied having given an endorsement Monday.
But several pastors who met with the billionaire real estate mogul and reality TV star, who has held a consistent lead in preference polls of GOP voters for several months due in large part to his aggressive style of campaigning, told a different story.
The campaign later re-branded the event as “a private, informational meet-and-greet with many members of the Coalition of African American Ministers”.
“I’ve never seen a flyer”, Vaughn said.
Vaughn was not alone.
Donald Trump sat down with some religious leaders of black churches across the country inside the Trump Towers in New York City Monday.
Trump called the two-hour meeting “amazing”. “People are saying that about you, ‘” Bloomer said. “Black lives are very important”.
“They want to hear his voice, they are going to pray to God about it as ministers do”. Herman Cain, a black radio host who ran for president in 2012, was among those introducing Trump.
It prompted a response from Scott, who was one of the event’s key organizers.
“The problem is they’ll say ‘Trump is chicken, ‘” he said.
On Monday, Trump responded to Christie saying the governor should be “careful what he says”.
“[Trump] seemed to be in a good mood”, Couzens said. “No one was angry or upset or anything of that nature”.
“He says he was speaking and the person was heckling him and basically trying to overpower his voice in the arena”, Couzens said.
The conservative commentator also compared Trump to Saul Alinsky, a radical community organizer with a divisive reputation.
Trump signed an agreement that he would not do this if he was treated right by the Republicans, but I guess Bush and Kasich did not get the message.
Mr Giuliani said: “We did have some celebrations, there were pockets of celebration, some in Queens, some in Brooklyn”, he said.
The candidate told his almost all-white audience that the meeting in NY was “inspiring”. But what they really want, Trump said, is firm and effective leadership.
Not everyone attending Monday’s meeting was supportive of Trump. “I was there”, Christie said.
