Donald Trump Holds Up A Bible In Appeal To ‘The Evangelicals’

That is why Jerry Falwell’s reasons for endorsing Donald Trump, though in my view not as informed about the checks and balances that should impede a president or the nature of the presidency as I would like, is a breath of fresh air.
Sitting down with him in front of hundreds of people to talk about his plans for America, and why Iowans should caucus for him Monday.

They need to say more clearly that the politics of exclusion and racial resentment are un-Christian and that candidates’ rhetoric should be as compassionate as their policies. “By the way, we want people to come into our country, they have to come in legally”.
Christie says that in both places, they tell people when to show up, where to sit and when to take recess.
In a Facebook video Trump, 69, said: “I really appreciate the support given to me by the evangelicals”.
“He is a poor excuse for a human-being, I will honestly say that and I whole-heartedly support Bernie Sanders, I will say that”, Egle Malinauskaite said.

Eric Bowen, 53, a plumber, said he had changed his registration from independent to Republican after seeing Mr Trump on television. I get it. It’s wonderful when Christianity looks progressive, tolerant, and winsome, though where you find that even in Jesus’s life is a mystery. “The polls don’t matter, nothing matters, the only thing that matters are the poll that’s going to be taken on Monday”.
In the past, white evangelical voters have made up almost half of Republican primary voters and caucus-goers.
