Donald Trump Imitates Ben Carson Stabbing His Friend
It was Trump’s most aggressive campaign speech yet in his bombastic run for the 2016 Republican nomination, hurling sharp insults against several rivals including “weak-like-a-baby” Senator Marco Rubio and business executive “Carly whatever-the-hell-her-name-is” Fiorina. Having to put up with all these “stupid” people and “losers” must be trying.
“In case you’re a youngster molester, there’s no cure”, he said. “Pathological, there’s no cure”, Trump said.
“That’s a big problem because you don’t cure that”, the billionaire real estate mogul told CNN in an interview.
Trump zeroed in on the neurosurgeon’s claim that he once tried to stab an acquaintance, only to have the knife break on the person’s belt buckle. He signed a book for a guy in the audience and then tossed it back at him with a flip: “Here you go, baby”.
Trump has hinted that Carson’s redemption story is “pathological”-and hard-core evangelicals are sure to take note. How stupid are the people of the country to believe this crap?” Hmm”.
“If Dr. Carson is ever going to hit anybody in the head, it’s going to be Donald Trump after everything he said”, Graham said, a reference to a story from Carson’s childhood where he said he hit someone with a padlock.
People have been waiting for Trump to cross a line. A few thought it would be his attacks on John McCain.
If there’s one thing that’s predictable about Donald Trump, it’s his unpredictability.
This is not the first time Trump has been criticised for his bold remarks. Carson isn’t merely popular with Republican voters; he’s beloved. And that’s especially true in Iowa: 84 percent of Iowa Republicans have a favorable view of the retired nuerosurgeon.
It remains to be seen, however, whether Trump’s surge will hold in the wake of his comments at the Fort Dodge rally.
It’s not pretty, but it’s really something to behold-an extended, angry, sneering, vindictive attack on Carson’s character and biography that would be unimaginable coming from any other candidate.
This morning Trump posted a short video to his Instagram page to double-down on his Carson attacks and supposedly celebrate Friday the 13th.
Trump also blasted the media. “Who’s the most pro-life demographic in all of America?” “That’s what’s been going on in our country for years… and I don’t expect it to change any time soon but I don’t have to get into it”. It would have been over. “It doesn’t happen that way”, Trump said. “And that’s who’s in second place”.
You can’t drive far in these parts without seeing Ben Carson on a billboard, looking more like a man of the cloth than of the operating room.
The Democrats view the latest Trump dust-up as a prime opportunity to undermine all the Republicans in the field. And more than anyone in the race, he speaks openly. Who knows who he will try to take down with him, who knows what preposterous policies he will saddle his party with before he leaves the stage, in addition to his pledge to deport “humanely” 11 million people.
In Trump world, everyone is stupid except Trump. We are where we were before the rant, where Trump is a dominant figure. I don’t need them anymore. It’s a bit insane, yes, but here we are.
