Donald Trump: Jeb Bush ‘melts like butter’ when he attacks me
In a video that will more than likely make you say, “Poor Jeb”, the Republican presidential candidate was speaking to a crowd in New Hampshire about leadership last week when he grudgingly asked his so-called supporters to clap for him.
Among other things, Trump has called Bush an “embarrassment to his family” and compared him to a “little sheep” at the Republican presidential debates.
“Quiet”, Trump told Bush as he attempted to brush off the accusation.
“He made his case earlier Monday on Twitter, tweeting “@realDonaldTrump, you aren’t just a loser, you are a liar and a whiner. But he’s got to go around and stop lying because I never called John McCain a loser.
Trump responded to Bush Monday in a call to CNN’s Wolf Blitzer.
“I hope you want a president who actually accepts accountability and responsibility but also has the skills to fix the mess that exists”.
“Frankly, he’s a stiff”, Trump said. “He’s a desperate person”. The two sharply attacked each other during Saturday’s debate, and Bush called Trump a loser on the campaign trail Sunday. He’s a sad and a pathetic person. “He’s a nervous wreck”.
Later in the interview, Trump also turned his attention to Marco Rubio, the Florida senator running second in New Hampshire, according to some recent polls.
The two biggest questions heading into Tuesday are whether Rubio’s stumble under Christie’s ferocious fire at Saturday’s GOP debate will trigger a late slump in his support, and whether Trump’s wide lead will translate into strong voter turnout.
“Please clap”, Bush said, finally drawing a round of applause. “The caucus system is very complex and then, of course, thousands of people were taken away from Ben Carson which was very sad and they were put over”. “That’s it, that’s all you can point to”.
“I’ve got a story to tell and he doesn’t and that’s the difference”.
“I was standing next to him, he was to my right, and he was having a hard time”, Trump laughed. “I think I’m more ready to be President”.
Bush additionally railed against the partisan fault lines dividing the nation into warring factions who can not cooperate for the greater good.
