Donald Trump, Justin Timberlake Among Upcoming TONIGHT SHOW Guests
Donald Trump will appear on the show next Friday, September 11, the network announced today. We wonder if he’ll play Box Of Lies… When we recently sat down with the former Colbert Report host, he expressed that he is dying to have the controversial candidate on his show. Due to the recent derogatory statements by Donald Trump regarding immigrants, NBCUniversal is ending its business relationship with Mr. Trump. Mostly because I can count on Trump to insult other Republican presidential candidates with some regularity. “The primary tension I had was that they wanted me to do The Apprentice, and they were very angry that I didn’t do it”, said Trump.
But Trump isn’t the only big name headed to The Tonight Show next week! Empire star Terrence Howard and Pharrell Williams also will be guests on the show, while Colbert’s Late Show guests the same night include Amy Schumer, Stephen King and a performance by Troubled Waters.
At the Television Critics Assn. summer gathering in August, NBC Entertainment Chairman Bob Greenblatt said Trump would “absolutely not” return to host “Celebrity Apprentice” but would be welcome on the network’s late-night shows. On the same evening Ellen DeGeneres and musical guest Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are scheduled to appear and the show will simultaneously be displayed at 11:35 p.m. ET on a huge digital billboard in the heart of Times Square (Broadway between 45th & 46th streets) in midtown Manhattan.
Richard Gere and Justin Timberlake are also arriving on “Tonight” next week – Timberlake and Fallon, of course, are a dynamic duo in their own right, with their History of Rap series.
