Donald Trump maintains lead despite Fox News debate efforts, polls show

While some speculated the brash billionaire would lose fans following his performance Thursday evening, others believed his blunt message would instead add more to his impressive early lead within the crowded field. Trump tried to laugh off the onslaught by interjecting, “Only Rosie O’Donnell”, but Kelly was relentless.

Democrats, of course, feature Clinton, who aims to be the first nation’s first female president. Despite the appeals, campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks said that Trump will continue to finance the campaign, but has “been overwhelmed by unsolicited contributions”. Walker and former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, another GOP presidential candidate, have also criticized Trump.

His Friday comment on CNN that Kelly had “blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever” got him disinvited from a conservative gathering in Atlanta by the event’s organizer, blogger Erick Erickson.

Actually, it’s far better than that. Bush and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker trailed with 7 percent. “I’m leading by double digits, so maybe I shouldn’t change”, he boasted.

Trump said on Twitter that Ailes called him. While many candidates are speaking out against Trump, Ohio Public Radio’s Jo Ingles reports Gov. John Kasich isn’t among them.

And Fiorina gave a smooth response for the need for leadership in the Middle East – and casually mentioned that she knew all the players. Kelly herself has called that “epic television” in the making; now that she’s in the national spotlight as a respected woman news anchor who’s been attacked by Trump, Hillary could agree to appear knowing that it’d be seen symbolically as a feminist statement of solidarity. At the end of the debate, he made it a point to go over to Trump and shake his hand….just like he did with the other candidates onstage.

It looks like Donald Trump and Fox News have made nice. Noting that the next president could have the opportunity to appoint at least three justices, Perry said “I kinda like” the idea of setting judicial term limits. “He really could be a liberal, for all I’m concerned”. “I stand with Megyn Kelly”.

Gordon also created a Periods Are Not An Insult website, where people who get periods and people who don’t can send standardized tweets directed at Trump, showing how ridiculous his comments were.

“He says something every day”, Rubio said.

She says Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama ended up in the Oval Office because voters wanted them there.

During the debate itself, other candidates came out swinging against Trump.

The spat started after Christie said intelligence agencies should be supported, not undercut, and then touted his time working as U.S. Attorney in New Jersey after 9/11, “respecting civil liberties and protecting the homeland”. “And I will respect that”.
