Donald Trump on ‘Late Show with Stephen Colbert’

Colbert asked him what he described as a “big fat meatball” of a question: “Barack Obama, born in the United States?”

“I don’t talk about it anymore”, said Trump who, you may recall, was once one of the most vocal proponents of the conspiracy theory that President Obama was secretly born in Kenya.

Another highlight in the night was when Colbert filled his mouth with Oreos right after Trump swore against the product. “Not as long as you did, but for many years“. “I talk about jobs, I talk about our veterans being horribly mistreated”.

On the other hand, it was Trump who said, “I think apologizing’s a great thing, but you have to be wrong…”

“I’m sure I’m not”, Warren said.

For years, Stephen played an ultra-conservative version of himself on Comedy Central’s “The Colbert Report”, so Colbert made a decision to test the Trump’s memory by reading off some insane quotes.

“You know, I don’t talk about it anymore”, Trump said.

That’s not to say that Trump walked away completely unscathed. Trump’s appearance on September 11 helped Fallon beat Colbert bringing in an impressive 4.5 million viewers.

Warren has been the beneficiary of a 2016 presidential campaign draft movement called “Run Warren Run” but repeated last night that won’t be happening.

“I want to apologize to you”. The speculating provoked President Obama to publicly release his birth certificate to quell concerns in 2011. He does, however, incorrectly guess that Colbert said something idiotic about global warming, although he admits it wasn’t far off from something he’d say.

Colbert jokingly asked if Trump was alright with a serious pay-cut if he were to become the president.

“I want to thank you not only for being here but for running for president“, Colbert told the GOP front-runner Tuesday night. “This is the first time in my life that I have caused controversy by NOT saying something”, Trump tweeted after the incident. At the end of the segment, Colbert reiterated that Trump was the current leader of the Republican Party and stood up and applauded his guest while we were all left wondering what just happened.
