Donald Trump Releases First Campaign Ad, To Air in 4 States
Donald Trump has called for “extreme vetting” of immigrants and pledged to make dramatic changes to USA immigration policy if he wins the presidential race in November.
“In addition to screening out all members of the sympathizers of terrorist groups, we must also screen out any who have hostile attitudes towards our country or its principles or who believe that Sharia law should supplant American law”, Trump said. Trump has yet to purchase time in Virginia, though a campaign adviser said earlier this week that he planned to do so.
Following the June shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida, Trump appeared to introduce a new standard, vowing to “suspend immigration from areas of the world where there is a proven history of terrorism against the United States, Europe or our allies, until we fully understand how to end these threats”.
“The Obama administration is trying like insane to do that”, said Andrew Tabler, who studies Syria at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy.
“Unlike Hillary Clinton, who has risked so many lives with her careless handling of sensitive information, my Administration will not telegraph exact military plans to the enemy”, Trump said. “And all of the many adversaries that we face”, Trump added.
For a week, Trump has been laying the groundwork for contrasting his own approach to countering the Islamic State group with Democrats, calling US President Barack Obama the group’s “founder” and Clinton the “cofounder”.
Donald Trump believes that if we just utter the words “radical Islamic terrorism” enough times, an Aladdin-esque blue genie in a bottle will come defeat ISIS in one fell swoop.
“We should only admit into this country those who share our values and respect our people”, he ventured, promising to temporarily suspend immigration from “the most unsafe and volatile regions of the world” that export terrorism.
Trump has since said he was being sarcastic in accusing Obama of founding the Islamic State.
Trump famously said previous year that as President he would build a enormous wall between the United States and Mexico to keep out illegal immigrants – and even temporarily bar all members of the Islamic faith from entering, until US officials can “figure out what’s going on”.
Republican Donald Trump has tapped New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie to lead his transition efforts.
Trump did not renew his controversial call for a ban on all Muslim immigrants.
Based on Donald Trump’s plan, the citizens from other countries that have a history of terror will be banned in the U.S. but Trump did not clarify from which nations. “I call it extreme, extreme vetting”, the report quoted Donald Trump as saying.
North Atlantic Treaty Organisation has been dealing with terrorism as an alliance since after the September 11, 2001, attacks on the US.
While critics argue Trump’s rhetoric alienates moderate Muslims, he promised to include those voices in a new commission on radical Islam.
Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, he said, would be a continuation of Obama’s foreign policies.
Trump’s accusation that Obama and Clinton created the Islamic State group had imperiled the lives of U.S. troops, Biden said. Yesterday, Trump not only pretended he never held those positions, he also blamed these policies for contributing to the rise of ISIS. “I’m looking now at territory”, he said in a July interview with NBC News, suggesting the change was more about language.
