Donald Trump Responds to Women’s Marches as Protesters Rally Against Him
“Beautiful weather all over our great country, a ideal day for all Women to March”, he wrote.
Many men made up the crowds in both cities, including UC Berkeley graduate Jon Tan.
Organizers said the platform for the 2018 women’s march is expanding.

“We have a President Donald Trump in power who knows no history and seems to have no education, who just disrespects any and everybody in the world”, Marie Timothee, a social worker born in Haiti and raised in Brooklyn, told the New York Daily News.
Woodard urged everyone to register and vote, saying, “the 2018 midterms start now”. This new initiative will address voter registration and voter suppression head on.

Helen Morrison, an organizer of the march in Sydney, N.S., said the #MeToo movement opened many people’s eyes to what women, regardless of background, are experiencing.
“We had a huge rally, which was incredible”, march spokeswoman Martha Shaughnessy, 38, of San Francisco, said.
“We have seen tremendous aggression and discrimination against women over this past year”, Cuomo said. It was covered with tape because she took it to so many demonstrations over the past year. And the reason they say is ’cause this is a swing state. Organizers have been quick to note that Hillary Clinton won Nevada in the 2016 election and that the state also recently elected the first Latina U.S. senator. “Maybe they are trying to cast as wide a net as possible”, Ms Dalmia said. “We will organize, we will run for office and we will advocate for policies that advance justice”.
“Women’s March has created a powerful movement that has ignited thousands of activists and new leaders”, Tamika D. Mallory, the Women’s March co-president, said in a statement on the Power to the Polls website.
