Donald Trump’s camp: ‘We’re going to the convention’
Often, virtually every hand in the room gets shaken.
Donald Trump has captured the minds and hearts of a specific group of the electorate. His supporters are Republicans who have grown disenchanted with the establishment and the uninteresting candidates nominated by the party in recent presidential elections. I detest gambling, but I liked Donald Trump when he was buying land at a discount and building casinos generating astronomical profits.
“What is it that’s leading people in this country who are not mentally ill to do that sort of drive-by shootings and things we’ve seen?”

Beyond the jokes, he acknowledges that Trump’s success to date has caused real pain. Trump’s stumbling and substance-free debate performance surely hurt him; but CFG Action’s ads have exposed the truth about his history of support for higher taxes, and his advocacy for single-payer healthcare, eminent domain and bailouts. That’s why we’re not getting anywhere folks.
In comments aired Sunday on ABC’s “This Week”, Trump said he would not establish a no-fly zone over Syria, as several other candidates, including Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton, have suggested. “He’s still got to do the rural farm setting”, he said.
The fact that Trump felt the need to spend only $2 million to date will reinforce the idea, rampant among the frustrated Republican establishment, that the media is Trump’s best friend and is largely responsible for his rise.
