Donald Trump’s First Formal Medical Exam as President Finds Him Almost Obese
CNN chief medical correspondent Sanjay Gupta diagnosed Donald Trump with heart disease on Wednesday, pointing to Trump’s coronary calcium score of 133, which White House doctor Ronny Jackson released on Tuesday while giving Trump a clean bill of health. Indeed, Donald Trump Jr. used the results of the test in a tweet: “More #winning”. He’s a stable genius.
After being barraged with rapid-fire questions from reporters who were skeptical of Trump’s stellar health, Dr. Jackson shut them down with a simple reply.
Some critics say that the rather short screening test doesn’t provide a complete picture of a participants mental health.
“I would say, though, that despite that, one of the things, being with the president on a day to day basis, is that he has a lot of energy, a lot of energy and a lot of stamina”, the military physician said.
To that end, Jackson will be working with the president to establish a regular exercise program, and will bring in dietitians to consult with White House chefs on healthier meals.
President Trump is the first president to ever undergo the test as part of his presidential physical. “10 to 15 pounds”.
“If we get diet and exercise right, then weight loss will come”, Jackson said.
Nevertheless, some took issue not just with the president’s listed weight, but his height, as well.
Trump’s doctor fields a question about the President that many are asking.
Jackson’s results put Obama’s level of LDL cholesterol – commonly understood as the bad kind – at 125 milligrams per deciliter, which is above what the CDC considers healthy (anything lower than 100 mg/dL is ideal, according to the CDC). I don´t have those problems, ‘ Trump said.
‘The people that do the food at the White House are extraordinary, but I think they can maybe make the portions a little bit smaller and maybe we’ll cut out some of the more fattening ingredients, ‘ he said. I mean, I’m strong, physically, ‘ he said.
Jackson has already increased the dosage of the Trump’s cholesterol-lowering medication and recommended a low-carbohydrate and low-fat diet, along with an exercise regimen. But, Trump doesn’t even like to get too much exercise on the golf course – choosing to ride in a cart rather than walk the course. The president has also noted that he sleeps only about 4 to 5 hours per night, and Jackson confirmed that. “That’s probably one of the reasons why he’s been successful”, the doctor said.
The Montreal Cognitive Assessment, which identifies light impairment or the onset of Alzheimer’s disease, was designed by neurologist Ziad Nasreddine in the 1990s. Tests of the liver, kidney and thyroid were all normal.
