Donald Trump Says Bible is Favorite Book

As far as I can tell, Trump is the unapologetic standard bearer of late-stage, theater-of-the-absurd American exceptionalism. You can do this and we can expedite the good ones to come back in.

The central assumption of democracy – beyond the assumption of fair elections, which is disturbingly questionable – is that voters are the possessors of their own “interests”, and vote for the candidate most sympathetic to them.

Trump has led most polls nationwide and has been gaining momentum nationwide.

But Tom Adelsbach, a Chicago-based graphic artist who saw the picture, could really only see one thing: That enthusiastic lady in the front row. Longtime U.S. Senator, Bill Bradley, a man of great integrity, has said that today, U.S. Senators and Representatives in Congress spend about four days of their week out seeking campaign contributions. And there we are, lapping it all up like parched puppies at the water pail, sitting in our living rooms and taverns and cafes, raising our fists in the air and yelling, “You betcha, Donald, give ’em hell!”

We can’t help wondering whether the panic in world financial markets is in part a result of the Trump assault on free trade. He says he knows, because he used to be the king of contributors. Others crossed Southwest borders, Northern borders and West Coast entry points like San Francisco’s Angel Island.

But pressed repeatedly on how he would accomplish this monumental feat, Trump had no answers. The picture turned out to more like a ideal storm, where all the components in the picture seemed to work and of course with all the attention on the Internet, then each person who comments on that picture spins it to their opinion.

Trump is the first New Yorker and non-evangelical to get so much support in a place like Alabama in our nation’s history. If one is a recklessly inclined, flamboyant showoff thinking his billionaire celebrity entitles him to White House occupancy, the ideology just may be of a different and finally disastrous, overreaching, populist kind.

The normal rules of politics are out the window here.

A draft of Trump’s 14-point economic manifesto promises that, as president, he would “modify or cancel any business, or trade agreement that hinders American business development, or is shown to create an unfair trading relationship with a foreign entity”. I no longer believe that he can’t win.
