Donald Trump says he supports over-the-counter birth control
“In summary, Mr. Trump is in excellent physical health”, Bornstein wrote.
John Podesta, the chair of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign, told reporters on a call that the wording of Trump’s remark was “extremely insensitive, divisive and probably pretty consistent with the kind of rhetoric he heard around the house when he was growing up”.
So, how healthy is Mr. Trump?
In Trump’s television appearance, taped Wednesday, the host, physician Mehmet Oz, read some of the lab results in Bornstein’s letter. Trump’s last colonoscopy, in 2013, “was normal and found no polyps”, it said. He takes a low dose of aspirin and a statin, which lowers cholesterol. His campaign site also says states offer Medicaid benefits that are too generous. He has been hospitalized only once, to have his appendix removed at the age of 11.
It summarised lab findings from Trump’s physical last week, saying his cardiac, liver, thyroid and other test results were normal for a 70-year-old man.
In August, Trump had called on Clinton to release “detailed medical records” – after her doctor also released a letter a year ago – and said he had “no problem in doing so”. The episode will air Thursday at 1 p.m.
Hillary Clinton made one of her first public appearances since she was seen stumbling in NY on September 11, and was later revealed to have pneumonia – and she took a brutal jab at Republicans at the event.
Trump also said he doesn’t have a regular exercise regimen – except for delivering speeches on the campaign trail that are notable for his high energy and often wild gesticulations.
According to NBC’s Peter Alexander, Dr. Oz remarked, “it’s nice to see a dad kiss his daughter”, to which Trump replied, “I kiss her every chance I get”. “If they were bad I would say, ‘Let’s sort of skip this, right?'”
