Donald Trump: ‘Sometimes’ I carry a gun
He drew on the current heinous attack within the gun free facilities of Umpqua Community College to clarify, saying, “Had they had, as an example, for the disgusting thing in that just took place in Oregon, had somebody in in that room had a gun, the result would have been better”. He added that he would not be opposed to arming school teachers.
“Sometimes”, replied Trump, whose popularity has surged on the back of a series of bombastic comments on a range of sensitive topics, including immigration and gun control.
“I like to have myself protected”, he explained.
He said he’s already “phasing out as we go along”, in part because of the time commitment required by the presidential campaign trail. “It would be so insignificant to me, compared to making our country great again”.
“Guns, no guns – it doesn’t matter”, Trump said last week.
Donald Trump thought it was a “very bad phrase to use” and couldn’t believe Bush used the term to describe the shooting which left nine people dead. “I don’t know if it brings stability or viability, but I imagine certain people feel that”, he responded.
He criticized Ryan, not for the issues that conservatives usually hit the 2012 vice presidential nominee on – his role in a budget deal with Senate Democrats and his position on immigration – but for his long-term budget plan’s overhauls to entitlement programs.
Otherwise, he said of Putin, “I think we are very different” – even though they’d get along.
Namely: They both dislike President Barack Obama. “Nobody knows that”, Trump said. “If he wants to be bombing the hell out of ISIS, which he’s starting to do, if he wants to be bombing ISIS, let him bomb them”, Trump said.
