Donald Trump to give speech on illegal immigration on 31 August
In his speech on Saturday in Iowa, Trump said he would seek to institute a tracking system to ensure illegal immigrants who overstay their visas are quickly removed, and would propose an e-verify system to prevent undocumented residents from gaining access to welfare and other benefits.
When the two men were competing in the Republican presidential primary, Trump advocated for deporting millions of undocumented immigrants and blasted politicians like Bush who wanted to allow some to stay and seek legal status as long as they met a wide range of criteria.
Pastor Mark Burns, a Trump supporter who arranged the interview, said the mogul will “give an address to outline policies that will impact minorities and the disenfranchised in our country”.
Faced with a question about his signature policy issue-his promise to deport 11 million undocumented immigrants-Trump did what any good “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” contestant would do: he asked the audience.
On Wednesday, Trump suggested he would allow exceptions to let some undocumented immigrants to stay in the USA, vowing he wouldn’t grant them citizenship but telling Fox News, “there’s no amnesty, but we work with them”.
However, during his appearance on “Hannity” this week, Trump said his administration would be willing to “work with” illegal immigrants.

“On Day One, I am going to begin swiftly removing criminal illegal immigrants from this country – including removing the hundreds of thousands of criminal illegal immigrants that have been released into United States communities under the Obama-Clinton administration”, Trump told supporters in Des Moines, Iowa.
Trump’s comments unleashed a torrent of criticism spearheaded by actor Don Cheadle, who has starred in such films as “Hotel Rwanda” (2004), denouncing the bombastic billionaire for trying to score political points on the back of a murder.
There is no doubt that Donald Trump is a typical establishment Republican except for his inability to rein in his blatant racism and bigotry.
It is unclear why Democrats often fail to “go for the jugular” when they have the opportunity, but it seems like an issue that repeats itself over and over again. “Chuck (Todd), we either have a country, or we don’t have a country”. In Mr. Bump’s piece was a list of leading Republicans’ social media activity after the Clinton speech and noted that not one of them remotely defended Trump or attacked Clinton. In fact, a guy who sounds a lot like…
