Donovan McNabb arrested again on suspicion of DUI – The Register Citizen
As a repeat DUI offender in Arizona, the ex- Philadelphia Eagles quarterback is facing a minimum of 90 days in jail.
McNabb was arrested in Gilbert, Ariz., on June 28, after he allegedly rear-ended another vehicle shortly after 11:30 p.m., according to Gilbert police. “But at this point, I have no further information, and as we continue on with the situation, then we’ll let it handle as it will handle itself”.
According to the police report, officers “responded to a non-injury collision involving two vehicles, which occurred just west of the intersection at East Chandler Heights Road and South Higley Road”.
In case you missed it, McNabb was arrested on charges of DUI late last month in Arizona after rear-ending a auto stopped at a red light. He retired after the 2011 season.
McNabb’s had a growing role at Fox Sports and all over the sports media (he also works as radio host for NBC Sports Radio) but a second DUI arrest and extended jail time might put that in jeopardy.
McNabb played 13 seasons with the Eagles and led the team to four straight NFC Championship Games, including one Super Bowl appearance from 2001-04 after being selected with the No. 2 overall pick in the 1999 National Football League Draft.
McNabb was arrested for DUI and transported to the Gilbert/Chandler Unified Holding Facility where he was cited and released.
