Donovan McNabb Arrested on Suspicion of DUI – Again
The ex- Philadelphia Eagles star was arrested in the Phoenix suburb of Gilbert on June 28 after being involved in a non-injury collision, police told the Associated Press on Tuesday. It was there that McNabb apparently ran into the rear end of a vehicle that was stopped at a red light.
The statement from the Gilbert police did not specify whether McNabb took a field sobriety test and did not state what his blood-alcohol level was.
McNabb, 38, was previously arrested for driving under the influence in December 2013.
Donovan McNabb has been working as an analyst for the NFL Network and FOX Sports since retiring from football in 2011.
It’s the second time in less than two years that McNabb has been arrested on DUI charges.
McNabb pleaded guilty to misdemeanor DUI and nine days of his sentence were suspended in exchange for his participation in a treatment program. “Donovan was arrested for DUI at 2358 hours and transported to the Gilbert/Chandler Unified Holding Facility for processing, after which, he was cited and released”. “It’s a blessing no one was hurt”, said Owens, who famously feuded with McNabb after the two helped lead the Eagles to an NFC championship and a Super Bowl loss to the Patriots following the 2004 season.
He also played for the Washington Redskins and the Minnesota Vikings before his retirement.
