Downton Abbey’s Final Episode Trailer Is Here! Watch & Get Ready For A
So said Alastair Bruce, the historical advisor on the hit show “Downton Abbey”, in a recent interview in the Telegraph. As the family and servants prepare to welcome 1926, they celebrate an unforgettable New Year’s Eve together at the great house.
“I hope you’re not too unhappy about the way things have turned out”, the aristocrat says. “And Downton Abbey must change with it”. Actor Robert James-Collier, who plays Barrow, previously spoke to the IBTimes UK of the struggle his character has endured trying to hide his sexuality. He never resolved it past year, he thought he could cure it by injecting himself.
However, Michelle won’t be the only familiar face that will join the likes of Michelle Dockery’s Lady Mary and Hugh Bonneville’s Lord Grantham.
Mary told Edith’s fiance Bertie about her sibling’s secret child Marigold, causing him to break off the engagement and leading her sister to want nothing to do with her.
Don’t worry, this is not a spoiler for the final series of the lovely period drama we know and love.
The show’s British network, ITV, has just released the trailer for its final Christmas special, which will also act as the series closer.
The two-hour episode of the ITV drama will now go head-to-head with EastEnders, which airs at 8.45pm on BBC One, before overlapping with Mrs Brown’s Boys Christmas Special – last year’s yuletide ratings victor. Tom states, “I’m able for this chance, much like you are”, to a lovely-looking girl within the trailer whilstsearching very coy.
