In efforts to promote the “Straight Outta Compton” N.W.A. biopic set to hit theaters next week, Beats gave the public a #StraightOutta meme generator to celebrate the occasion.
Straight Outta Compton opens widely on August 14. Given the group’s reputation, there were extra security guards, metal detectors galore, and everyone had to remove any clothing that flaunted the red and blue “colors” of the warring gangs, the Crips and the Bloods. Pop culture is not without its ironies.
