‘Drain the swamp!’ Donald Trump brings back popular catchphrase during Congress speech

Democrat Hillary Clinton wore all-white pantsuits during big moments in her presidential campaign.
“Crumbling infrastructure will be replaced with new roads, bridges, tunnels, airports and railways gleaming across our lovely land”, Trump said during a joint address to Congress. The Democratic Women’s Working Group, led by chair Rep. Lois Frankel of Florida, announced in a statement that its matchy-matchy plans were “a reminder to continue the ongoing fight to attain equal rights for all women”.
He pledged to “repeal and replace Obamacare with reforms that expand choice, increase access, lower costs, and at the same time, provide better Healthcare”, without any detail on how this will be achieved.
According to the joint poll by the CNN broadcaster and Opinion Research Corporation, nearly two-thirds of the viewers praised the president’s priorities for the country, while about seven in 10 viewers said that the speech made them feel more optimistic about the future of the country.

Beshear says they’re friends and neighbours who now face “life and death” decisions because of the GOP effort to kill that law.

“When it comes to the hard work of government, namely passing legislation in the days and months ahead, more questions about details than answers remain”, Mark Hamrick, Bankrate.com’s senior economic analyst, wrote after Trump’s speech was over.
In his first major speech as United States president, he said a “new surge of optimism is placing impossible dreams firmly within our grasp”, opening a “new chapter of American greatness”.
