Drake Mocks Joe Budden at Dallas Tour Stop
In a recent appearance on Andrew Schulz and Charlamagne’s Brilliant Idiots podcast, Budden explained what, exactly, led him to diss the Toronto rapper.
Joe says Drake knows his pen game, and he doesn’t care anything about his fame, celebrity, as well as his successful run, as Drake used all of it to get at Joe.
The shot Drake sent from the stage is the rapper’s first official response to Budden’s three diss songs, since the cut he released slamming the Slaughterhouse member was recorded a while ago. “All you boys doing fake “Controllas” want to be me a little”, Drizzy raps. We smoked hookah together.
According to Complex, Drake kicked off the tour in Austin, Texas, Wednesday by giving fans a slight remix of his popular song “Summer Sixteen”. “He does that often to people”, Budden said.
Afterwards, Budden responded on Twitter and said the Canadian rhymer was just seeking attention, which doesn’t make sense since Drake already has the attention of millions. Lanez later said during a radio interview on The Breakfast Club that he thought it was “kinda corny”. “So, it’s really just me knowing”. Clearly, no one believe that, least of all Joe. The two continued going back-and-forth, but not too much ground was gained on either side. You can check that out here.
