Drake reunites with his ‘Degrassi’ co-stars
Drake was in Canada on Wednesday, so clearly he had to partake in the most Canadian of things: Reuniting with his former Degrassi co-stars. Shortly after leaving the show, Graham reinvented himself as a real world rapper and became the most famous of the “Degrassi” alumni.
Collins shared the historic (hey, it is to Degrassi fans) moment on Instagram, with the caption, “Some old friends got together last night”. And they spent the night hanging out, and mingling with the rest of the premiere attendees.
The original Toronto-set teen drama was titled “Degrassi Junior High, ” and it ran from 1987 to 1991, but the show was rebooted for a new generation in 2001 when it returned as “Degrassi: The Next Generation”.
Big break: Degressi was Drake’s first big acting gig which he was cast in aged just 15.
We Are Disorderly is the work of fellow Degrassi actors Mazin Elsadig and Al Mukadam. His character showed off his rapping skills(!), bro’d out with BFF Gavin “Spinner” Mason (Shane Kippel), and even overcame tragedy when he was left in a wheelchair after a school shooting.
This is the second mini-“Degrassi” reunion in the past week, as Miriam McDonald (Emma Nelson) and Cassie Steele (Manny Santos) met up for coffee in late July. It’s unclear if he’ll appear in future episodes of We Are Disorderly. You can take a look at the reunion here.
