Drake Slays Meek Mill On New Single “Summer Sixteen” (Stream + Download)
But here’s the bottom line: Drake is fed up with these rappers and is ready to take over with his upcoming album.
“OVO Sound Radio Episode 14 tmrw at 3PM PST/6PM EST…it begins”, Drake wrote on Twitter in the early hours of Saturday, January 30.
Drake dropped a new track called “Summer Sixteen” on Apple Music tonight, and he has some words for POTUS, “Tell Obama that my verses are just like the whips that he in, they bulletproof”.
The release date is in step with the theme of the album – 4/16 is a nod to the city’s area code. He Dropped WATTBA (“What A Time To Be Alive”, his mixtape with Future) and before then, Hotline Bling and Charged Up.
“Summer Sixteen” will also be available on Apple Music and iTunes. Artist Majid Jordan, who’s releasing a self-titled debut album February 5, will be the guest. Drake spat some ruthless words Meek’s way on the new track, though he did so with the assurance that he was beating a dead horse.
DJ Akademics also tweeted that he was “expecting a lot” from the show, reminding fans: “Last 2 Times Drake hosted Ovo Radio …” Titled “Summer Sixteen”, the subliminal-laden track finds the Toronto native seeking revenge.
