Drake trolls Meek Mill with PowerPoint slideshow at OVO Fest
Now, at a show in Charlotte, North Carolina on Tuesday (August 4), Meek Mill delivered a freestyle aimed at Drake. The Drake-Meek Mill beef has escalated to all-out tactical assauly, and that became all the more evident at Drake’s closing OVO Fest show last night.
The squabble began July 21 when Mill took to Twitter to say that Drake didn’t write his verse for their collaboration “R.I.C.O.” on Mill’s recent album. “Damn though, what’s up with you?” According to MTV, some of the fans were determined to stick with this love team and said they support Nicki for staying with Meek. Please no. Let’s not get anybody else involved in this. It was a stark contrast to her social media post from a few days earlier, where she hinted that she was no longer in a relationship.
Yeah, we figured you weren’t.
Other performers last night included Kim Kardashian’s husband, Kanye West and Ciara’s ex, Future.
Whereas rappers Meek Mill and Drake have exchanged in separate diss tracks, “Anaconda” rapper Nicki Minaj has remained silent since she and Mill reportedly broke up throughout the weekend.
But if wedgie threats and “Wanna Know” are all Meek Mill has to come back with, he may have gone too far down the rabbit hole to revive his career.
As part of the feud, Mill released a diss track call “Wanna Know” in which he threatened violence against Drake and his family.
After a brief solo performance, highlighted by the live debut of his track “Hotline Bling”, Drake was joined by Pharrell to perform Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky”.
Meek had already been pinned as the loser, but not having his city’s own NFL team behind him is a major loss.
The rap battle is rumoured to have affected Mill’s relationship with Minaj, a close friend of Drake’s, who is said to have dumped the Maybach Music Group rapper over the feud.
