Drake: Unlike Billie Jean, the Kid Is Mine

It’s something that has been rumored for the past month since Pusha T alluded to it in a diss track titled “The Story of Adidon”, and Drake confirms it on several of “Scorpion’s” tracks. Though the rapper has only met his son once over Christmas, he mentions on the track that the boy has a crib in his Toronto home.

So that’s new. Otherwise, Drake is content to rehash his familiar sorrows as he sleepwalks down the same melodic paths that’s he’s been following since 2011’s “Take Care.” A lot of “Emotionless” tries to flip the controversy of him hiding his child into a positive, saying that actually he was doing his child a favor because the outside world and media are “poison”. That’s not all, though.

He further addresses his newfound role as a father on “March 14”, the closing track of Side B.

As for why he didn’t reveal this news to the world, he simply says he wanted privacy.

Drake will no doubt be the talk of the music world for much of this weekend and beyond after dropping his fifth studio album, Scorpion.

There doesn’t appear to be any big response to Pusha T’s latest salvo, so maybe Drake is letting that fued lie for the time being.

According to Celebrity Insider News, Drake raps and sings along to the Jackson tune. I used to challenge my parents on every album. “I can’t decide / Fashion week is more your thing than mine / You stay on my mind / You and your sister too hot to handle”, which many believe is a reference to Bella’s sister, Gigi Hadid.

Jackson is not the only special guest on “Scorpion”. “After Dark” features an unreleased track from Louisville artist and prooducer Static Major, who died in 2008, and the end of “Is there More” singer Nai Palm interpolates Aaliyah’s 2001 single, “More Than a Woman”.

She gave birth to her and Drake’s son on 11 October past year, calling him Adonis.

Scorpion is a joint release on Warner Bros. and Universal Music-owned labels OVO Sound, Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records and Republic Records.

It’s been about six weeks since the last chapter in this beef, but many are hoping for it to resume when Scorpion drops. “We understand she may have problems getting into the United States”.
