Dramatic trailer for new Netflix series Narcos based on true story of
With a few weeks to go before the release date and premiere of the Netflix original series Narcos, Netflix has released the second official trailer on their YouTube Channel. Does it feature Pablo Escobar menacingly smoking cigarettes while lounging in his estate and driving around Colombia in a Jeep? It also shows off Wagner Moura as Escobar, and Pedro Pascal as the partner of Holbrook’s agent. Yes, we… you get the idea.
Based on the first two trailers, Narcos is going to be absolutely brutal!
The 10 episode series chronicles the true story about the rise and fall of Pablo Escobar and other cocaine kingpins in 1980s Colombia.
Narcos will debut on Netflix on August 28. It details the conflicting forces – legal, political, police, military and civilian – that clash in an effort to control the world’s most powerful commodity: cocaine.
Eric Newman (Children of Men), the team of Doug Miro and Carlos Bernard (Sorcerer’s Apprentice) and Chris Brancato (“Hannibal”) also serve as executive producers on the series.
Boyd Holbrook leads the cast as Steven Murphy, the head DEA agent looking to take down the infamous Medellin Cartel, which was run by Escobar, played by Wagner Moura of Jose Padilha’s intermittently striking Elite Squad films.
