Draymond Green May Be Under League Review After Contact With LeBron
That’s the league office.
“Oh, my goodness”, James said.
We saw Kevin Love return – off the bench – and play 24 minutes amassing 11 points and 7 rebounds. “I’m not going to comment on what Klay said, because I know where it can go from this sit-in”. But when it get a little more than it should be then that’s what causes me to have words with him.
The play is now under National Basketball Association review.
In the Adams ruling, the National Basketball Association wasn’t ready to alter that series drastically over that incident but wanted to warn Green about future actions by bringing him to the brink.
Green had fallen on the ground, and when James disrespectfully stepped over him (he basically tea-bagged the guy, smh), Green swung his arm, hitting James in the gonads. “I guess his feelings got hurt”. “I’ve got mad respect for LeBron and what he’s done”. It is what it is. “It’s so hard to continue to do it, and I’m going to do it again”. “We know what words cross the line, male or female”.
“He brings a toughness to their team”, Cavs coach Tyronn Lue said. “Just move on from it”.
As a coach, as an organization, it’s an extremely hard line to walk with players like Green and Smart. “That was the point of the Adams call”. This is his fourth flagrant foul point, which resulted in the automatic suspension.
But all this furor and anger builds and builds and now Green has created this reputation for himself.
Green popped that bubble Friday.
Even if Green has to watch with the rest of the fans who can’t get into the arena.
What will the league’s message be now?
Meanwhile, James seemed more unhappy about what Green said to him during the game than the half-punch; it clearly seemed to be a playground taunt.
Still, the National Basketball Association sent a message that Green’s kick deserved upgraded discipline, yet not enough to warrant a suspension, or an ejection at the time. But listen man, and I can say it, I told Draymond that: when somebody steps over you, they’re doing that intentionally to just like rub it in your face.
Until the league decided he took it too far this time. “I said, ‘OK, that’s understandable'”.
With all prior incidents likely being coupled in, now the Golden State Warriors are anxious that its start forward will be suspended for Game 5 of the NBA Finals after his incident involving LeBron James in Game 4. It was eventually upgraded to a flagrant-2 foul and he was fined $25,000.
“Now, you gotta act like you didn’t try to do it”, Barkley said. Green allegedly called James a profanity that he did not appreciate, according to James.
“I was just trying to get back into the play”, James said. “I’m all fine with that, but some of the words that came out of his mouth were a little bit overboard”, James said. “Being a guy with pride, a guy with three kids, and a family.things of that nature, there are some things that go overboard and that’s where he took it”.
It was Green who had to stand tall and play center as the Warriors gave the Cavaliers big doses of their small lineup.
Also, Green guards James defensively and his absence Monday should make life easier for Cleveland’s superstar playmaker, who averages 31.9 points, 10.7 rebounds and 6.6 assists in games when his team is facing elimination.
