Drew Brees still intends to play when Saints host Jaguars

The Saints are 5-8 and hosting the Jaguars on Sunday. He said he’s dealing with a Grade 2 torn plantar fascia. It seemed no matter what Brees chose to do on any play, it worked.

After another disappointing season for the New Orleans Saints, the future of quarterback Drew Brees is up in the air.

It also was Brees’ 13th career 400-yard game, tying Hall of Famer Dan Marino for second in National Football League history – behind only Peyton Manning’s 14 such outings.

The Falcons were 7/14 on third down conversions, compared to the Jaguars, who were unable to convert on any third down attempts.

Bortles dropped back and found receiver Allen Robinson, who had beaten his man by two steps. They had many setbacks that made an impact on their performance though.

The Saints’ offense controlled most of the first quarter. Jaguars coach Gus Bradley dropped to 12-35. He completed 25 of 36 passes for 412 yards and three touchdowns.
