Drinking Coffee Reduces Risk Of Early Death
Surprising as it may sound, coffee drinkers get health perks from five cups per day.
In one particular 10-year study in the United States, those who drank coffee regularly were said to be likely to die of numerous causes, where among them include heart disease and diabetes, compared to those who did not touch coffee at all.

“Although coffee drinking has also been inversely associated with incidence of certain cancers, like liver, in epidemiological studies, we did not observe an association between coffee and overall cancer mortality”, lead author Dr. Erikka Loftfield of the National Cancer Institute in Rockville, Maryland said reported by Reuters said.
It appears that the risks of getting these diseases were lowering as the participants drank more coffee.
These adults also provided data regarding other facts about their diet and health.
They followed the group from 1998 to 2009, recording their coffee intake and other dietary and health information.
Those who consumed two to three cups of coffee daily also had a lower risk of death, as did individuals who drank decaffeinated coffee or consumed coffee additives. It’s likely that people who drink it regularly also have other healthy habits. “This may be because coffee reduces mortality risk for some cancers but not others”, Loftfield said. Health records, adjusted with factors such as smoking status, cancer diagnoses or heart diseases were the main tracking tools for the research team.
The risk of death was lowest for those who drank four to five cups of coffee per day.
At the end of the 10-year study period, to approximately 8,700 of the participants had died.
Although coffee drinking has been associated in the past with liver cancer, it can not be associated with mortality in general. However, the results showed no specific links between coffee consumption and cancer-prevention – contrary to the findings of several prior studies.
