Driver injured in I-95 crash
State police say they released the video Friday to remind motorists about the dangers of being stopped on a highway.
The driver, 21-year-old Yoni Rojas of Bridgeport, is now facing a slew of charges including reckless endangerment, reckless driving, misuse of plates, failure to meet minimum insurance requirements and failure to maintain a lane, according to WVIT-HD.
Dash cam footage shows a vehicle just miss a State Police cruiser and two people standing next to the guardrail, smash into one of the cars involved in the previous crash, and both the black vehicle and a blue SUV that was stopped careen across I-95 perpendicular to the lanes. He was held on $2,500 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on November 27 in Bridgeport.
The driver of that vehicle was injured, and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, according to the Fairfield Fire Department.
Grant said at around 1 a.m. Friday, a state trooper responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident on I-95 southbound, north of exit 19 in Fairfield.
Two people have narrowly escaped being run over by an out-of-control auto as it ploughed into another vehicle right in front of their faces.
Authorities say Rojas plowed into a auto that was pulled over following an earlier two-car crash near exit 19. Attorney information for the man wasn’t immediately available. If the State Police cruiser was not there, the two people in the shoulder could have been struck and this message would be about a double fatality.

Police said the vehicle was travelling 85mph (137kph) when it crashed.
