Free drive-thru services will be provided, allowing drivers to drop off prescription drugs from their seats, without leaving their vehicles. “The National Prescription Drug Take-Bake offers a way to not only safely dispose of unused drugs, but also potentially prevent an accidental or intentional overdose of a family member of friend”. Many Americans are not aware that medicines languish in home cabinets are highly susceptible to diversion, misuse and abuse.
Many Americans do not know how to properly dispose of unused medicine – it should not be thrown away or flushed down the toilet, which can lead to environmental problems.
