#DrummondPuddleWatch: The internet goes bonkers watching people trying to cross boggy hole
Procrastination reached new heights at businesses across Britain this afternoon as thousands of people tuned into a live feed of people trying to navigate a giant puddle.
Nearly 20,000 people are watching a Periscope livestream of a large puddle, fascinated by attempts of passers-by to cross the body of water.
The Drummond Puddle had it’s 15 minutes of fame today following the #DrummondPuddleWatch which was simply a live broadcast of people trying to navigate a small bit of water in Newcastle.
Other’s are simply keeping tabs on the puddle’s top moments with Sainsbury’s bag lady being showered in praise for her efforts.

This involved running and jumping, climbing round the side and a slow tip-toe walk.
Others were even more creative-one pedestrian danced through the puddle Gene Kelly style, and another actually lay down and started making puddle angels (which, though not hygienic, was quite entertaining to watch).
As one might expect, major brands started getting in on the fun.
Managing director Beth Hazon said: “It hasn’t stopped raining in December”.
“And – God bless the internet – the rest is history”.
