Duchess Catherine stuns in off-the-shoulder dress
Kensington Palace has yet to confirm whether the royal couple will accept the invitation and where the couple would potentially like to visit.
The daring, off-the-shoulder number clung tightly to the Duchess’ slim figure as she greeted representatives from the five different museums, who were each in the running to receive the £100,000 award. The fund is given annually to one outstanding museum which has shown exceptional innovation, imagination and achievement.
Kate will join artists including Antony Gormley, Grayson Perry, Michael Craig-Martin and Cornelia Parker at the prize giving event. George, who turns 3 later this month, was also photographed at the museum with his parents enjoying the butterfly exhibit as he was just learning to walk in June 2014.
But this cream-colored knit dress was definitely better than the horrid gowns Kate wore during her tour of India and Bhutan with Prince William in April.
Kate is joining guests from the arts and culture sector at the Natural History Museum in London for the Art Fund Museum of the Year Award.
“I think the team that surrounds the Trudeau government has really understood strategically that if you have a willing leader who is prepared to walk in Pride and take photos with people and be accessible, then you would use that to your advantage to get people to participate in the political process”, she said. She was famously spotted at the iconic tourist attraction with her son Prince George in October previous year. “It is wonderful to celebrate the incredible array of British museums we have to offer”.
Following some trouble opening the winning envelope, which prompted laughter among the crowd, she presented the prize to the Victoria and Albert Museum. ‘It’s fantastic to have her presenting the Art Fund for this year and supporting the great work of all these museums’.
