Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge waves to a british competitor during the Women’s Laser Radials race on Day 10 of the London 2012 Olympic Games at the Weymouth & Portland Venue at Weymouth Harbour on August 6, 2012 in Weymouth, England.
The Duchess is thought to have gained the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) qualification from a diving school in Mustique, a small island part of St Vincent and the Grenadine where Cheryl Cole married Jean-Bernard Fernandez Versini. According to Telegraph, the qualification can be very risky, seeing as if the diver goes any deeper, he or she can develop risks such as nitrogen narcosis, which gives an equivalent sensation to drunkenness.
Those who take the course also learn how to plan dives and deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deep water.
